Our Team
A lot of love and care has gone into hiring qualified and nurturing educators. Our teachers have been selected based on a common view of seeing children as whole people. Our teachers act as co-creators, working alongside children as they explore the world. Through thoughtful observation and documentation, teachers, families, and children come together to explore the next phases of development.
Our teachers undergo continuous training and development in a variety of areas. All of our teachers undergo training on annual basis in the Reggio Pedagogy and Self Regulation.
Cassie St Amand

Cassie is a passionate mother and educator. With over 15 years of teaching experience, Cassie knows the important role relationships and connection play in the growth of children. She spends countless hours ensuring the team at Applejacks are creating an inclusive environment for children to be themselves. Trained in New Zealand, and more recently at the Mehrit Center in Self Regulation, she brings a unique and thorough approach to supporting children, families, and her greater community at different stages of development and growth.
In 2014 Applejacks was born, and in 2021 it evolved to incorporate a nature-based program founded in the Reggio philosophy. She is overjoyed to be working alongside educators and families guiding children’s growth.
