Applejacks was founded on a simple principle:
To nourish children as they are and guide their learning.
We believe that all children are curious, creative, and capable humans rich with potential. We follow an open, nature-based curriculum that progresses based on the interests and inquiries of the children around us.
Our intention at Applejacks is to support children's development of self first. We want every child to walk in each morning feeling ok to be who they are on that day; happy, sad, frustrated, grumpy. To be celebrated and supported through their emotions and to be allowed to unpack what is happening for them. When a strong sense of self is formed; when safety and security are found in relationships with other peers and teachers - learning happens.
Following a Reggio Emilia approach, children at Applejacks Preschool are invited to lead their own learning in a connected, engaging, and warm environment.
Applejacks knows that learning happens when strong relationships are formed. A lot of love and care has gone into hiring qualified and nurturing educators - and we love to take care of them. We care about our team and ensure that all of our teachers are given opportunities to plan, grow and refresh themselves when need be. We pride ourselves on providing an inclusive and progressive work environment that supports the needs and wishes of our teachers.

Applejacks is located on a ravine with extensive outdoor space for children to participate in nature. Nature is naturally calming to our nervous system, and nature surrounds Applejacks. Every window you look out, every corner you turn the Earth is there.
